Biodegradable and compostable bioplastic
Promovita® films are made from Mater-BI, a completely biodegradable and compostable plant-derived (corn starch and other vegetable oils) bio-polymer, patented by Novamont SpA. Mater-Bi® is compostable: that is, transformable into compost, rich in organic matter which regenerates the soil and accommodates new life. It is derived from non-genetically modified natural materials.
Production technology
A bio-polymer which is 100% biodegradable, waterproof, breathable, and compostable under aerobic and anaerobic conditions (European standard EN 13432: biodegradability, disintegration, absence of negative effects, absence of heavy metals). Tuv Austria S0001 SOIL certification.
